LG Electronics, Inc. is a world leader and a leading technology innovator in the areas of consumer electronics, mobile communications and home appliances. Founded in 1947 under the name of Chemical Industrial Company (it will only take its current name in the 90s), the Korean brand distinguished itself in its beginnings thanks to its advanced household appliances. LG Electronics is today a global brand that brings together five divisions: consumer electronics, mobile telephony, household appliances, heating solutions, air conditioning, renewable energies and professional solutions.
In 1959, the company, under the name Goldstar, produced the first Korean radio station, then in the 1960s, the first black and white television. Refrigerators, washing machines and air conditioning systems will soon follow. The company will take advantage of this technological expertise to become a pioneer in the consumer electronics industry. Over the years, it will grow, establish itself abroad and improve its products. Witness the first 60-inch plasma TV set created in 1998 and the first household appliances connected to the Internet launched in 2000. In 2008, the LG brand presented its new global identity which reflected the perfect harmony between design and useful technology, embodied by products that adapt to consumers' lifestyle. His new signature becomes: "Life's Good".
New in the house
LG has always wanted to put its know-how at the service of everyday life. Its range of home products currently includes refrigerators, washing machines, dryers, dishwashers, cooking appliances, vacuum cleaners, built-in appliances and health products. Its goal ? Make consumers' daily lives more pleasant, without forgetting the issue of the environment or that of saving energy. For each line of devices, LG has developed several very innovative technologies. Thus the ovens benefit from the Lightwave function (reduced cooking time). The Kompressor system allows LG vacuum cleaners to compact dust in the form of pebbles, LG washing machines are equipped with an electronic sensor which determines, from the start of the cycle, the amount of laundry contained in the drum (saving of water). The future is already here, why deprive yourself of it?
